I find it increasingly difficult to write when I am happy. It is almost as if my pen is only useful when I am suffering from mental wounds and emotional shame.
Wishing I could rid this writers block, without sacrificing happiness. Finding that balance.

What you are describing is not uncommon with writers. That said, writing is a way of positively channeling our dark side. It helps us externalise otherwise toxic emotions. It restores our ownership over our inner life.
